Sharing Bonding Moments with Family

Family bonding moments for us mean just exercising ourselves in the things which bring pleasure to our gastronomic cravings and penchant for domestic or foreign getaways especially in the company of our loved ones. We delight in family fellowships - how much momentous is it when the conversation and laughter is as great as the trips, delectable as the food we eat. Certainly, the things parallel to family bonding are adventures and good food , and on the best and loveliest of days, we are lucky enough to get both.
What makes more special about family get-together affairs ? It’s about celebrating the gifts of life we share - sharing of blessings, precious moments and personal stories and lives. Spending time together is a wonderful union between intimacy, togetherness and food trips that makes us looking forward to momentous famly events. It is beyond laughter and pleasure. It is more than just travelling , eating and drinking. It is a journey that keep us united, strong and tightly knit and help us survive life’s challenges . Also, it is the venue whereby we go through heartrending relationships that hopefully would last forever. It is LOVE. It's deep - rooted that one can’t wait to bond some more.

Our most recent family bonding trip to Singapore definitely was another blockbuster.

God is good !

Night photo shoot infront of  the Singapore Art Museum (SAM) . It has a collection of modern and contemporary Southeast Asian artworks. Just behind us is  this melting Superman aptly titled, "No One Can Save Us Now". The larger than life sculpture is there to remind us that a superhero is not immortal after all. According to the creator of the art work, " it's a comment on global warming".

Clarke Quay by night
There are lots of cafes and eateries along the riverside which is lit with an exciting array of colors and where one can enjoy and savor the ambience. It's just great on a warm evening to stroll through and amuse oneself of the buzzing and dazzling atmosphere. We enjoyed watching extreme recreation such as Gmax reverse bungy and Reverse Extreme Swing. Truly, a great place to hang out at night.

Visit to Merlion Park in Singapore

Everyone recognizes that Merlion Park is a popular tourist attraction and it took its place among the famous landmarks of great cities of the world. We’re told that no visit to Singapore would be complete without photo sessions at the the park ilncluding the beautiful Marlion statue and the surrounding infrastructures like the Bay Sands Hotel,Sky scrapers on the the opposite side and the Singapore Flyer from afar or else you never have been to SG.We all went there late in the morning and while it was very hot and humid we found it not so much a park but a paved area overlooking the harbor with a statue in the middle that’s perpetually spewing water into Marina Bay. It doesn't offer much, apart from the merlion figure itself. Nonetheless, to catch sight of the awesomeness of the famed statue ( a mythical creature with a lion’s head and the body of a fish) can be worth a visit only if we can appreciate what is behind the figure and make out its history and origin .

Crab-eating Experience in Singapore

One of the things that Singapore is famous for is their Chilli Crab. Ergo, on a Sunday night we went for it and dined at Jumbo Seafood Gallery which was just a walking distance from the Peninsula Excelsior Hotel . The restaurant has a great location by the river. It was packed with people but the ambience was relaxed but bit standard . The service was lame and slow , but over all the food was good and the chili crab was delish and really really spicy! What can we say about Jumbo Resto ? A bit pricey but its chili crab lives up to its reputation !

An Enticing Presentaiton of Geoduck Clam Sashimi
Geoduck is not a duck. It is a salt water clam. In Chinese it is called 'elephant trunk clam’ as it has a long and chunky siphon, which looks just like an elephant trunk. It can be enjoyed as thinly sliced sashimi. They are naturally sweet. The texture is a little similar to squid sashimi but a little more chewy.
