The BattleStar Galactica Ride in Universal Studios Singapor

The BattleStar Galactica Ride in Universal Studios Singapore is a pair of high-speed shuttles that accelerates to the top and it slows down to let the riders see the full view just as they go over the edge. The coasters travel through more than two kilometers of rail in what the resort calls "a tumultuous battle of humans vs. Cylons." The red rail is for the 'human race' and its seats are mounted in traditional roller coaster fashion. The blue rail is for 'Cyclons,' with the seats suspended below the rail, leaving legs to dangle freely. I suppose, the Cyclon side is designed for those who are adrenaline junkies .Obviously, this is not for the faint hearted - our sons and their cousins including my hubby Terence and Jun ( my blood brother) braved the ride and all of them declared in unison that it was too fantastic a ride experience and boy, one will lost count of the loops. The same bunch of thrill seekers ( this time minus Terence ) went on Cyclo/Human rides multiple times !!! Well, at least my hubby did challenge his fear of heights as he negotiated the terrifying , fun ride which is 14 –storey above the ground . Mind you, he chose the “Cylon” side ( blue ) which had him suspended, with legs dangling . Thank God, he survived all the lifts, drops, inversions, and spins – all part of the 90-second thrill ride and expereinced the world’s tallest pair of duellling roller coasters ! And what did he get for proving that he still got the adrenaline to go extreme ? a post ride Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo after finishing that one daring try ...LOL...
